Hi, I’m Heather Stokes, owner of Lake Gypsy Bookkeeping—and I’ve been making friends with numbers for more than 20 years.

I started Lake Gypsy because I believe small business owners deserve better financial information without having to become accountants themselves. Your job is to build the business, chase the dream, and do the thing you love. My job is to make sure your numbers tell you what’s really going on behind the scenes.

I’m QBO Bookkeeper Certified and a QBO ProAdvisor, but don’t let the credentials fool you—I’m definitely not your stereotypical, stuffy bookkeeper. I’m fun, quirky, love to laugh, and firmly believe that bookkeeping doesn’t have to be boring. Give me a messy set of books and a Mountain Dew, and I’m a happy girl.

When I’m not wrangling spreadsheets and chasing down wayward transactions, you’ll usually find me with my husband, Paul, our two daughters, Brittany and Peyton, and our six grandkids—who keep life entertaining all on their own. We’re also proudly outnumbered by our two dogs, Whiskey and Duncan.

Our family loves to travel, make memories, and cheer on the Tennessee Vols—preferably loudly and with plenty of orange involved. 🧡
